The Analytics page gives you a bird’s-eye view of training across your organization. It answers three questions: Are we on track? Which courses are problems? Who needs help?
Path: Admin sidebar > Analytics
Overview
The page is divided into three sections, each with its own KPI cards and charts:
- Fleet Compliance — overall training status across your fleet
- Course Performance — how courses are performing (scores, pass rates)
- Crew Insights — individual crew performance and risk areas
Each section has a dropdown filter to narrow the data.
Fleet Compliance
Answers: “Are we on track with training?”
Filter: Time period — Last 3 Months, Last 6 Months (default), or Last Year.
KPI cards
| Metric | What it means |
|---|
| Overall Compliance | Percentage of assigned training that’s been completed (e.g., “156 of 200 registrations completed”) |
| Overdue Trainings | Number of registrations past their due date. Labeled “Requires immediate attention” when > 0. |
| Avg Days to Complete | Average time from assignment to completion across all courses |
| Active Enrollments | Number of registrations currently in progress |
Charts
- Completion Trend — line chart showing completions over the selected time period. Use this to spot whether training is accelerating or stalling.
- Compliance by Ship — bar chart showing compliance percentage per vessel. Helps identify which ships are falling behind.
Answers: “Which courses are problems?”
Filter: Course category — All Courses (default), STCW Courses, or Safety Courses.
KPI cards
| Metric | What it means |
|---|
| Avg Score | Average quiz score across all courses (or filtered category) |
| Hardest Course | The course with the lowest average score. Worth reviewing if scores are consistently low. |
| Highest Pass Rate | The course with the best pass rate. Shows what’s working well. |
Charts
- Course Scores — bar chart comparing average scores across courses. Quickly spot outliers.
- Course Difficulty — distribution chart showing how many courses fall into easy, moderate, and hard difficulty buckets.
Crew Insights
Answers: “Who needs help?”
Filter: Ship — All Ships (default), or a specific vessel.
KPI cards
| Metric | What it means |
|---|
| Crew Trained | Number and percentage of crew who have completed at least one course (e.g., “45/52 — 86.5% of total crew”) |
| Avg Completion Time | Average time from enrollment to completion, in days |
| At-Risk Crew | Number of crew members with an average score below 60%. These people may need additional support. |
Charts
- Score Distribution — histogram showing how crew scores are distributed. Look for clusters of low scores.
- Crew Performers — chart showing top and bottom performers. Useful for recognizing high achievers and identifying who needs help.
Analytics vs Progress
Both pages show training data, but they serve different purposes:
| Progress | Analytics |
|---|
| View | Individual registrations (one row per person per course) | Aggregated metrics and trends |
| Use for | Looking up a specific person’s status | Understanding patterns across your fleet |
| Export | Yes — raw data for audits | No — visual insights only |
| Filters | Status, course, ship | Time period, course category, ship |
Rule of thumb: Use Progress to answer “How is Jane doing on her fire safety course?” Use Analytics to answer “How is our fleet doing overall?”
